Abstract:
In this article an overview about the available third-party software which is relevant for industry, is given
as addition to the LINPACK -based TOP500 list.
We restrict ourselves to the areas chemistry, structural mechanics and computational fluid dynamics.
The article compares especially the situation on the MPP market against the situation on the classical parallel vectorprocessor market. Comparisons within the PVP and MPP markets are also given.
