Subject: One Nonlocal World, Opening Event, ONLINE, Jan 2021

With the purpose of staying "nonlocally" connected during these
unusual times, we have decided to create "One Nonlocal World"
(https://sites.google.com/view/onenonlocalworld/), an on-line platform
with updates on new nonlocal trends and events. The One Nonlocal
World project is an on-line platform where people working on nonlocal
problems or interested in learning more about this topic can regularly
check for updates on nonlocal modeling, analysis and computation. The
short-term goal is to keep researchers connected virtually by
workshops and schools during these unconventional COVID times. The
long-term goal is to build up new communication channels for a more
connected and inclusive research community on nonlocal models. We are
planning to have an Opening Event on Fri Jan 22nd and Sat Jan 23rd,
2021. (https://sites.google.com/view/onenonlocalworld/events) The
topics will range from fractional calculus to nonlocal calculus and
include the mathematical and numerical aspects of nonlocal modeling
and simulation.

Confirmed plenary speakers are
- Max Gunzburger, Florida State University (Jan 22nd)
- George Karniadakis, Brown University (Jan 22nd)
- Robert Lipton, Louisiana State University (Jan 23rd)
- Erdogan Madenci, University of Arizona (Jan 23rd)
- Stewart Silling, Sandia National Laboratories, NM (Jan 22nd)

Registration is free, but mandatory. You can fill in the form by
January 1st 2021 in the event page above. We are also planning to
have a poster session and we encourage young researchers (students,
postdocs and young faculty members) to submit their titles through the
registration form. In case of acceptance, a confirmation email
together with instructions will be sent by January 5th.
