Call for Papers - COMPSE
The requirements demands in problem solving have been increasingly in
demand in exponential way. The new technologies in computer science
and engineering have reduced the dimension of data coverage
worldwide. Thus the recent inventions in ICT have inched towards
reducing the gaps, and coverage of domains globally. The digging of
information in a large data, and the soft-computing techniques have
contributed a strength in prediction, analysis, and decision
potentials in the niche areas such as Computer Science, Engineering,
Management, Social Computing, Green Computing, Aviation, Finance,
Telecom etc. Nurturing the research in Engineering and Computing are
evident that finding a right pattern in the ocean of data.

Subject: Postdoc Position, Argonne National Laboratory
The Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National
Laboratory seeks a postdoc to conduct research in scalable algorithms
for mixed-integer nonlinear programming and PDE-constrained
optimization, particularly as applied to the modeling of optimal
design and operation of combined gas- and power-networks. The
successful candidate will have a background in PDE-constrained
optimization or mixed-integer nonlinear programming, in addition to
considerable knowledge of numerical algorithms and software for
optimization or PDEs, and good proficiency in scientific programming
languages (e.g. C/C++ or Fortran). Experience with parallel computing
is a plus.
