Subject: Revamped Wavelet Digest

Dear collegues,

We are very happy to announce you that the revamped wavelet digest took off.

http://www.wavelet.org/

The Wavelet Digest was founded by Wim Sweldens. Its first issue was
released on July 24, 1992. Since then, the impact of the digest on
the community kept increasing and the number of subscribers grew up
to almost 20000 by the end of 2001. During all those years, Wim has
edited and assembled the digest. Now, the Wavelet Digest takes off
again, restyled and hosted by the Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology Lausanne (EPFL).

So if you have any information you want to send out to the
wavelet community, please submit it to the digest.
The digest will be send out depending on the number of submissions.
We do hope to have an issue about every two weeks.

To subscribe the wavelet digest please follow the link
http://www.wavelet.org/index.php?subscribe=1

With best regards,
The Wavelet Digest Team

His widely used textbook "Matrix Analysis and Applied Linear
Algebra" (SIAM, 2000) is one of the best-selling titles in
the SIAM catalog.

The conference is endorsed by the SIAM Activity Group in
Linear Algebra and by the International Linear Algebra
Society (ILAS).

Structure of the meeting:

The meeting will comprise of two one-day programmes corresponding to the themes
of micromagnetics and superconductivity. Each day will consist of a survey talk
by a scientist involved in the modelling of the phenomena, a survey talk by an
engineer involved in practical applications and an overview of known
theoretical properties of the solutions of relevant models. These will be
followed by more specialised talks on the development and analysis of
state-of-the-art algorithms for their numerical approximation.

The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at The University of Texas at
Austin is seeking additional computational Research Scientists and
Research Associates in High Performance Computing (HPC), Scientific
Visualization (SciVis), and Grid Computing (Grid). The new TACC
researchers will contribute to existing TACC research and development
(R&D) efforts and initiate new activities consistent with TACC's
mission.

TACC has obtained funding to deploy new leading-edge computing,
networking, visualization, and storage resources in early 2003, and new
TACC R&D is expected to enhance these resources. New research activities
are also expected to contribute to campus, state, and national
partnerships and Grids. Therefore, candidates with PhDs or experience
authoring proposals, as well as experience working on research
activities, are desired.
