OK, I've just upgraded my machine to the lastest compilers, et.al.,
and am now up and running with your latest atlas beta.  Everything
goes fine as long as my kernels are compiled with -g only.  The tester
segfaults on my kernels with -O and higher.  I'm looking into this
now.  It may be due to some unexpected assembler shuffling by the new
compiler.
